CREATOR PROGRAM

Promote a Curriculum You Actually Believe In. Earn Commission Doing It.

If you talk to homeschool families โ€” a blog, an Instagram, a Facebook group, a YouTube channel, a podcast โ€” the Lumi Creator program gives you a personal referral code and pays you commission on the sales it brings in. You control your own content and your own schedule; we handle the code, the tracking, and the payout.

How the Program Actually Works

You apply with your name, contact info, where you post, and how you'd plan to share Lumi. Applications are reviewed individually โ€” nothing is issued automatically on submission. If you're approved, you're given a personal referral code and told your commission rate in writing at that time. When someone enters your code before subscribing and their payment actually settles, that sale is attributed to you and commission is calculated on the amount Lumi actually collects โ€” never on list price, and never on a sale that gets refunded or charged back.

What's Actually True About the Program

๐Ÿ”— A Code That's Yours Alone

Once approved, your code is unique to you. It gets attached to a buyer's account when they enter it, and stays attached until they actually purchase โ€” so attribution isn't lost even if someone takes a few days to decide.

๐Ÿ’ต Commission Set in Writing, Per Creator

Lumi doesn't publish one fixed commission percentage for every Creator. Your rate is communicated to you directly when your code is issued, and it's calculated on the net amount actually collected on a qualifying sale โ€” after discounts and processing fees, never on the sticker price.

๐Ÿ’ธ Paid Biweekly by Cash App or Venmo

Payouts are targeted for every two weeks whenever you have a balance owed, sent to the Cash App or Venmo handle you provide. Balances under $25 carry forward to the next payout cycle rather than being sent as a small amount.

๐Ÿงพ Independent Contractor, Not an Employee

Creators are 1099 independent contractors โ€” you set your own schedule, choose your own content, and use your own accounts and equipment. There's no shift, no quota, and no requirement to post a set amount.

๐Ÿ’ก Applying doesn't guarantee approval, and no code exists until one is actually issued to you. We make no representation about the volume of sales, earnings, or income any Creator might achieve โ€” results depend on your own audience and effort, and vary from Creator to Creator.

What the Application Asks For

The application at lumi-academy.org/creator-apply asks for your name and email, how you'd like to be paid (Venmo or Cash App) and your handle, at least one real link to where you post so it can actually be reviewed, and basic tax details required to eventually issue a 1099-NEC โ€” your legal name, entity type, and mailing address. It deliberately does not ask for a Social Security Number or EIN on the form itself; if you're approved and nearing the reporting threshold, that's collected separately through a secure W-9. You'll hear back by email either way.
