Hawaii Homeschool Overview
Hawaii's homeschool law (HRS § 302A-1132) requires families to submit an annual notice to the Hawaii Department of Education. Instruction must be given by a parent, legal guardian, or a certified teacher, and the child's academic progress must be evaluated by a certified teacher at least once a year.
