Oregon Homeschool Overview

Oregon's homeschool statute (ORS 339.035) requires families to notify their local Education Service District (ESD) each year. Starting after 3rd grade, children must take a standardized test every three years and submit the results to the ESD. Oregon does not require curriculum approval or portfolio review.

Triennial Testing in Oregon

After a child completes 3rd grade, they must be tested every three years using a nationally normed standardized test.
