Lumi Academy wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built by a parent who was exhausted from planning lessons, fighting for attention, and having no idea if any of it was working.
Why Lumi exists
Homeschooling is the best decision millions of families make — and one of the hardest to execute. Every morning starts the same way: figuring out what to teach, finding materials that actually engage your kid, and then spending half the lesson fighting for their attention while they stare at a screen.
Existing apps were either too passive (videos kids watched without learning anything), too rigid (scripted curricula that didn't adapt), or required so much parent involvement that they defeated the purpose. There was no app that could actually run a school day while you made breakfast.
So we built one. Lumi Academy uses AI to generate personalized lessons on the fly, voice recognition to grade kids' spoken answers in real time, and a parent dashboard that tells you exactly what your child learned and where they're struggling — without you having to sit through every lesson.
