Florida Homeschool Requirements (2025)
๐ Notice of Intent
- File a Notice of Intent with your county school superintendent within 30 days of beginning homeschooling
- Also file annually by the start of each school year
- This is a simple written notice โ not an application for approval
๐ Portfolio Requirements
- Maintain a portfolio of records and materials (log of educational activities, samples of work)
- The portfolio must be made available to the superintendent upon 15 days' written notice
- Keep portfolio for two years
๐ Annual Evaluation (Choose One)
- Evaluation by a Florida-certified teacher
- Nationally standardized student achievement test administered by a certified teacher
- State student assessment (FSA or equivalent)
- Evaluation by a psychologist
- Review by a panel of three Florida-certified teachers (at parent's request)
